May 28th, 2008 - School Fire

Fame Rehab 12 responded on the second alarm school fire at the Belleville Mennonite Elementary School (Union Twp Box 24-60)

Members of the Fire/Rescue/Police and school district had the opportunity for two days of training with Chief Wayne Zygowicz.  These were two great days of much needed information and we hope Ziggy returns soon.

May 22, 2008

Members and their families were treated by the Fame EMS Board of Directors to a steak feed at Derry Twp Community Park.  This was in recognition of EMS Week and to show the appreciation to all members for their hard work and dedication.

May 12, 2008 - MVA

Fame EMS along with units from Junction and West Granville responded to US Highway 522 at the Industrial Park exit (Granville Twp Box 15-20) for one over-tuned.

May 12, 2008 - MVA

Fame EMS along with Burnham Fire and Reedsville Rescue responded to Logan Blvd. and Freedom Ave. Burnham Borough Box 1-10 for an MVA with confinement.

May 2nd, 2008

Members of Fame EMS went to Buchanan Elementary School for the annual EMS day for the 5th grade.  Thanks to all that helped with this great program.

April 26th, 2008

Members of Fame EMS attended the annual Kid's Connection in downtown Lewistown.  Thanks to all that helped out.

April 18 & 19, 2008

The last two days have been overwhelming for the members of Fame EMS.  The Ambulances and Rehab have responded to many brush fires in two counties due to the very dry conditions.

Members of Fame EMS and area rescue squads participated in the Basic Vehicle Rescue-Technician class.

February 7th and 11th, 2008

Fame EMS had a very special visitor riding along.  Klaus Luszeit a Paramedic from Berlin Germany spent two days observing our operation.  A great time was had by all.  Many thanks to Deputy Chief Abrashoff for taking care of all the arrangements.

February 6, 2008 - Training

Mike Coldren takes time to train with the D-Shift in the operations of the new rehab shelter.  Many thanks to Mark Wolfgang from Seven Mountains EMS Council for securing funding for this project.

February 5, 2008 - MVA

Fame EMS responded with Highland Park Fire Co. to Kish Pike (Derry Twp. Box 4-10).  Units arrived to find a vehicle over-turned.

February 4, 2008 - House Fire

Fame EMS and Rehab responded with Lewistown FD to 717 W. 6th Box 11-10.  Units arrived to find a house well off.

February 1, 2008 - Work Detail

Crews work around the station to complete needed updates.

Fame EMS would like to congratulate two area fire companies on their new arrivals.  Fame EMS looks forward to responding to many calls with these two rigs.

December 31, 2007

The night of December 31st brought 2007 to a close.  Many of the dedicated career and volunteer members spent the night on the rigs after feasting on 50 lbs. of shrimp.  The night came to a close with Fame EMS attending the first annual Hartley's Chip Bag drop in downtown Lewistown.  Fame EMS ended the year with 7,325 calls.  Many thanks to all the dedicated staff members of Fame EMS for making 2007 a great year.

November 29, 2007 - Holidays

Members of C Platoon decorated the station for the upcoming holiday season.  Special thanks to the crew of Ladder 14 for helping us out.
